I just recently started strength training in the gym after being diagnosed with osteoporosis at 40 years old. I’ve followed Hampton online for quite a while now and was excited to see a physical copy of his book, I think these exercises will help me become stronger in areas that lifting weights may not target. I have started out at Level 1 on all the beginning exercises so that I can make sure my form is correct. I love how each exercise is broken down into progressions that anyone, at any age, could easily do. I’ve even had my 10 year old doing them with me most days! Highly recommend this to literally everyone that is wanting to change for the better.

Its very nice having a structured routine I can go through, with information how to do the exercise correctly, rather than cross referencing short videos and trying to figure it out.
I would love the same style for stretching and flexibility, such as the content from "MovementbyDavid" On Youtube.
I'm getting through it really well. Seeing progress, unfortunately skip the next variation of pullups, cause I don't have a spot or the equipment for it, though I may try find a park with a gym area. For squats on the same day, I don't have the ankle flexibility yet.
Its really unfortunate about the pricing of the shipping. I was quite happy that the price was fine! Just the shipping made me quite hesitant, though I've got this forever, so I still think its worth it. But still, quite sucky.

This arrived so quickly and I'm happy to have the manual on hand in print. The writing is very user friendly and funny, just like what I became used to hearing on the channel. The Hybrid Calisthenics approach really works for me, I know it sounds silly but I used to really throw myself into exercise only to burn out quickly because I treated it like drills and bootcamp. But now I'm more focused on moving correctly and building up strength and mobility without rushing. Can't be mobile long term if I mess up and injure myself by being impatient!

I have followed HAmpton on IG for quite a while and was excited when the book came about. I have torn rotator cuffs and labrum in both shoulders and surgery will never be an option for me. So, I have been doing wall push ups for 3 months thus far and the range of motion has greatly improved in both shoulders.

If you struggle to stick to a plan, this is the plan for you
This is the best workout plan for ANYONE that is looking to get started and it's easy to stick to. If you haven't touched your toes in years/decades or felt your abs have a good burn get this book. At the core of the program are only 6 exercises and you jump in where you are from easy2expert and go from there. This is a book i would give my 64 year old mom in a heartbeat.

This book is fantastic. I'm a rank beginner with advanced aims for calisthenics, and love the number of exercises covered (lots) both push and pull, that covers all skill levels. The way it is laid out on spiral bound rocks, opens flat, you can easily take in the info with all of the tips and photos to be sure you are doing the exercise with good form. Highly recommend!

The book is very well made. Not only is Hampton an inspirational and a delight to watch online, his guidance to target every fitness level is very refreshing. Too many fitness influencers tend to cater to one extreme or the other, but this book has no bias whatsoever. No matter your fitness level, time commitment, or any other factor, there is a routine and system that can be tailored to your health. The only caveat that I would add is the mobile app. Personally, I am a big fan of using apps to track, remind, etc... The Hybrid Calesthenics app is a solid "okay" and could be so much better with one simple feature, if someone paid for the book, a complimentary code to get the app ad-free would have been a great cross-promotional tool. But the ads in the app + selecting a workout stopping and music playing in the background is a really big turn-off. But, the book itself is excellent and premium quality.

I have watched his videos and shared them with others for a long time. I have always been in great shape, rope climb in an L, one arm push-ups and pull ups and Yada Yada, I was Da Man! A recent injury landed me in a wheelchair for a while and inactivity added pounds. This easy to follow program feels perfect. Low impact and takes about as long as drinking 1 cup of coffee. I'll see where I end up in a month, for now I am sure I will gain strength, flexibility and lose a little weight

The exercises in the book are explained well, and each section has a progression from easiest to hardest so you can customize your workout. The flashcards are a great way to remind yourself which exercises you want to do, and they include the number of recommended sets/reps for different fitness levels.

It's a very well-thought-out book. There are a few exercise-wise things that should have been included to help with variation for workouts. Some examples would have been to include dips, lunges, calf raises, etc., which would have allowed for more specific targeting of body parts outside of the main sections covered.
