This guide book is very nice! Quality thick pages will stand up to frequent page turnings. And the coil binding is genius! Lies flat and stays open to the page you are using. Large enough to read while doing the exercises, small enough to pack with you when you are on the go.
I look forward to using this, and putting Hampton’s exercises to work. Excellent photos, tutorial step by step instructions. The opposite page lists great whys, and form cues of the exercises, and how to make them harder or easier.
This book is a keeper, don’t miss out!

I share this mobility program with everyone. I work in the fitness industry and I freely share this as an effective but simple base to start learning how to move. I have been using it daily myself and can see the improvement in surprising ways such as suddenly being able to perform squid squats in a HIIT class despite never having done them before and isolating my upper back muscles easily as I work on horizontal pullups. I am a 51 year old female so this hasn't been a common experience before. I appreciate the thoughtful order of the progressions and look forward to sharing more breakthroughs as we progress. Thank you for offering the program freely on the website as well as offering it for sale in book form. It makes it very easy to share while also supporting your work.

Such an easy way to start working out and focuses deeply on progression and regression. I think Hampton made an excellent book that dives into calisthenics for both beginners and the advanced. One thing I love about the book is it gives the reader a variety of different exercises, showing proper form and explains common mistakes that people make when exercising. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone looking to further themselves into calisthenics.

This book is awesome. I came across Hampton on Facebook while watching other self-help and exercise videos. I loved his kindness and real down-to-earth personality. There was nothing "fake" or "misleading" about him, and the way he engaged the audience just made me feel a true and deep respect. When I saw that he had made a book, I knew I wanted it. So glad that I purchased Hybrid Calisthenics! It is well written with clear explanations, tutorials, and pictures. I understand each exercise and their progressions, and what I need to accomplish to move through these progressions. The weekly routine makes it easy to start and I think it will be easy to stick to the routine. Great book for folks of any fitness level!

I’m loving the easier navigating in a real book. Just put sticky tabs labeled MTh. TuF. WSa on the exact exercises I’m on. Plus, I can go online for the videos if I need more info than provided in the two photos per exercise. I had to let my exercise trainer go with Covid so I’m starting at all the lowest levels to build up
Advice: Don’t do what I did when first starting up. I was able to fairly easily do 3 sets of 30 half-squats. Two days later I had terrible soreness and struggled to walk for several days. If you’ve not exercised for awhile just start at one set of ten reps and slowly add reps and sets. In a month you’ll be plenty advanced without suffering.

I'm a 62 year old and overweight. I've tried more exercise programs (and spent more money) than I care to recall! I'm finding Hybrid Calisthenics to be unique in my experience. The program is simple. The exercises are clearly defined and illustrated with progressions from very easy to extremely challenging. I'm a little sore physically but very pleased mentally with this purchase; by far the best investment in my health in quite a while!

I love this book because it feels like... Hampton really cares about this message. He isn't trying to sell health or fitness as a product, but as something attainable at all levels for all people. I especially like knowing that there are VERY low-impact ways of adapting the exercises and movements to scale up--this is great for those of use who have previous injury, disability, or are facing an uphill battle to get back in good health.

TL:DR This book is exactly what I need, convenient, easy to use, and has something for literally any ability level. Also, Hampton is a beautiful soul whose videos have been bringing me encouragement and joy during a very trying year, and I am happy to be able to support him and his work.
I am a middle-aged, overweight woman recovering from a shattered ankle. I haven't been able to walk independently for almost a year. My whole body needs rehab, and many of the exercises that have been prescribed by my physical therapist are actually beyond my current independent ability level.
This book breaks down every exercise from the easiest modification to the most challenging. It doesn't matter what level you're at, Hampton has ensured that you can do this.
The videos online are helpful, but I love the ability to have it open next to me when I'm actually attempting the exercises. The spiral binding ensures it lays flat and doesn't lose your spot, which is something a lot of other books overlook.
I recommend this to anyone of any ability level, but especially for people like me who are not fit enough for other typical exercise books/routines. I can not express how helpful and encouraging it is to have modifications that I can successfully complete. It's taken rehab from impossible to attainable.

This is a great resource! I keep it on my counter with a tracker for which step I’m at for each exercise. I love having the progression, the variations, and the standards it handy so I don’t waste time searching. Hampton’s instructions are clearly stated and just detailed enough without being confusing. The entire book is easy-to-read and easy to navigate (colored page headers help you find your exercise). The pictures are clear and helpful. And the spiral-binding was a great idea!

Review in two parts, content and book quality.
The content is of course the high quality you’d expect from Hybrid Calisthenics, no surprise there. Directions are clear with reasonable progressions. Abundant photos help clarify things even further and the routine included is simple to follow.
The book quality is incredible. Substantial paper weight with high quality ink, binding works great allowing you to lay it flat on either double or single page spread. I’ve purchased several programs from other creators, but this is the highest quality/most professional presentation I’ve seen.

Love the format of the spiral bound book (it lays flat!). It's well organized with the same easy to follow guided progression in difficulty as the videos and the photos clearly demonstrate each step. The program in the book reflects the same approach Hamilton uses in his videos so its a great supplement to watching online, but it could just as easily stand on its own. Kudos to the team!

I bought the book on the strength of a friend's recommendation, the pleasurable sight of seeing Hampton exercise in a video, and the intriguing idea of using rings for the first time.
My goals might be a little different than for the book's intended audience, since I wasn't looking for a complete long-term program for fitness. I already knew more exercises (including some from the book) than I had time to do, and these are for more than general fitness. Some things I do because I like them a lot in themselves, and I wouldn't want to replace them with something else.
However, it was doubtful I could do a pull-up at the time and I never have been able to do a full bridge. Plus there was that allure of the rings.
My friend provided long distance moral support as we checked in with each other, starting with a yoga program and then adding things from the book.
It was definitely possible to take selected exercise groups from the book, and the many variations let me choose steps easy enough I could do them, that should progress into what I can't do.
I do things from the book about every other day, along with other things, and I'm really grateful for it.

Rock climbers, climb with pretty much just their body weight, maybe another 20 lbs of equipment but they're just really trying to get most every muscle group to statically or kinetically overcome their total body weight.
We can all marvel at their stamina and flexability, why therefore is a gym necessary when we carry our own every day? I like how this book locks this potential in a supportive and achievable manner.

Seriuosly, the low bar to start, combinded with a careful progression makes this the first fitness program that is REALLY for everybody, from absolute beginner to very (very, very) advanced!
It's healthy and sustainable, it aims at what counts in terms of human body movements and capabilities. Brilliantly simple yet getting more and more challenging in higher stages.
I've tried Hampton's routine several times now, so this book is not new stuff to me. But it significantly eases up prep / tracking and is just handy.
Can't wait for the App to have animated instructions, hack in the progression and simplify the daily sessions further.
The progression of Hampton and his Hybrid Calesthenics is also a joy to witness!

I love this book! I'd been doing the exercises online but it's really nice to have a physical copy where you can see all the tips and instructions in one glance. The paper is super high quality and the spiral binding makes it easy to lay flat. I like how the different exercise groups are color-coded so I can quickly find what I'm looking for. Just wanted to say I love this book. I'm in the process of recovering from a broken leg and this has helped me work at my pace. The book itself has a nice weight to it, has a good cover, and the pages are this thicker glossy paper you'd see in travel guides, so it definitely looks like it'll hold up well. It doesn't seem fragile and turns easy and lies flat with no snags.
